    On October 19th, Zhu Ming, Director of the New Energy Department of the National Energy Administration, attended a meeting and stated that during the 13th Five Year Plan period, photovoltaic power generation should be promoted to become the main power source of the future as soon as possible.

    Zhu Ming mentioned that during the 12th Five Year Plan period, China''s photovoltaic industry system continued to improve, with significant technological progress, and the scale of photovoltaic power generation manufacturing and application ranked first in the world. Recently, the bidding results of photovoltaic power generation leading technology bases have attracted widespread attention in the photovoltaic industry, proving the possibility of photovoltaic power generation as the future main energy source.

    At present, China''s renewable energy is in the Key Stage of accelerating its integration into the energy system, but it also faces many problems and challenges while promoting the transformation of the energy system. In response, Zhu Ming proposed a development strategy for the photovoltaic industry and renewable energy during the 13th Five Year Plan period:

    1. A steady pace of development must be maintained, and a certain new scale of renewable energy must be maintained every year

    2. We must plan ahead and optimize the layout, and we must vigorously develop renewable energy, including photovoltaic;

    3. We must adhere to the goal orientation, the proportion of non-fossil energy target is an important quantitative indicator of China''s energy transition;

    4. We must improve the target assessment mechanism;

    5.We must promote the construction of a market system conducive to the development of renewable energy, give play to the decisive role of the market in allocating resources, and establish a unified national renewable energy green certificate trading mechanism.
