Wind power and wind energy will dominate in new energy sources

Release time:2013-11-30   Click:76

On April 29th, Deutsche Welle reported that 3% of global electricity consumption currently comes from wind energy, and this proportion will soon surpass nuclear energy. In Spain and Denmark, wind energy accounts for 20% of the energy market, and Germany''s wind energy share will increase to 20% -25% by 2020.

According to data released by the World Wind Energy Federation, the total global wind power generation in 2011 was about 40 megawatts, a record high, and by 2020 the global wind power capacity will increase fourfold. The latest trend is to build small wind parks for regional homes, small villages and industrial enterprises. In July 2012, the World Wind Energy Conference will be held in Bonn, Germany, under the theme "Energy for Communities - Energy for Citizens".

The report also states that China is also vigorously developing wind power generation. Half of the wind turbines put into production globally in 2011 were produced in China, which leads the United States and Germany in this field and holds a leading position in the industry. However, based on the average electricity consumption of the population, countries such as Denmark, Spain, and Germany are still outstanding in the field of wind energy. At present, Chinese wind energy enterprises Sinovel and Goldwind are evaluating their acquisition of Danish wind energy giant Vestas. It is reported that Vestas suffered a loss of 166 million euros in 2011, and its stock value plummeted by 70%.
